Give one on one time to a shelter dog while providing exercise for both of you! Our dogs rely on our volunteers for one on one enrichment time. The time commitment is flexible, our dogs can be walked 7 days a week between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. All volunteers must complete an application and go through volunteer training. Children 10+ years with their parent or guardian are welcome to volunteer at Animal House. You must be 18 years or older to volunteer without a parent or guardian.
Be an ambassador! A fun way to help our animals get more exposure and to spread awareness about Animal House! Assist with local weekend events for dog adoptions and information tables. Train to become an Event Lead as well! The time commitment is flexible but up to 4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. Occasionally events do take place on weeknights. All volunteers must complete an application and attend volunteer training and volunteer dog walking training. After completing multiple dog walking shifts (totaling 6 hours or more), volunteers may then sign up to attend the event volunteer training class.
