I have been meaning to write you a little blurb about Waylon for months!Well, here it is finally! He is doing great, and we just adore him.
"My husband and I adopted Waylon in December 2012. He is a quirky, little pup who continues to win the affection all who meet him! He is the ultimate fuzzball (a pocket St. Bernard, as Animal House dubbed him!).
He has grown quite attached to his stuffed mallard, and would love to snuggle with our cat if our cat would only let him. I adopted Waylon 5 months after my first dog of nearly 10 years died. I think we were made for each other. I needed a friend, and a dog full of love and cuddles. Waylon has helped my heart heal and has brought me plenty of laughs.
Despite a past history of being fearful and hesitant of touch, he can't get enough of it now! Believe me, he makes a point to make sure you know exactly where his belly is in case you want to scratch it! People are often surprised that he accompanies me on trail runs. He isn't exactly the athletic or "cool" looking mountain dog one would expect to see running in the Rockies. All the same, he enjoys himself and still outruns me. We are thankful to have found such a gentle and affectionate dog.
Animal House was so patient with us as we came back week after week to look at and walk the dogs as we tried to determine who was the best fit for our family. It was a wonderful experience to work with them. Thanks Animal House for helping me meet my best friend!"
All the best,
