Kanga is a happy pup these days. She is coping wonderfully with life with a steady owner and she is even breaking out of her shell a bit. She's much less shy than when I first got her and she is making my life even better. I was in a crazy transition period and I would say I still am, and Kanga has been there every step of the way. She is the one to wake me up in the morning with her big smile, she is the one to cuddle me when I'm confused, and she's always surprising me with her amazing ability to cope with such a disability.
Currently she is home with me and my family in NY and flying wasn't even a slight problem for her. She was at my feet the whole way, still smiling as per usual! She has really warmed up to her grandma and grandpa, and she loves the east coast. To get around easier I have made her some boots with padding in the bottom so she can walk wherever her heart desires. When she has her "paws" on she can't stop wagging her tail. What a 180 turn this pup has made since the first time I met her when she was scared and skiddish. She still has her doubts about all of us humans, but she is slowly learning that we are all not that bad.
She is the best thing in my life right now and I couldn't be happier to have this wonderful dog by my side.
