Daisy’s Happy Tail

Posted May 3rd, 2010 by Blog

Hi there!

Thought I’d take this opportunity to provide an update on Daisy. She has been a wonderful, animated, friendly addition to our family! She has LOVED our hiking and biking lifestyle, and we LOVE her SO much!

That said, she had a very serious accident last week. She fell off the back side of Red Rocks amphitheater in what I assume was overintimidation by a group of other (albeit) friend dog pack. She jumped onto the ledge and slipped over, taking a 15-20 foot fall. She has fared surprisingly well, with her most chronic problem looking like an ACL tear. We had her in surgery on Thursday for repair, and she is expected to return to 90-95% of her usual playful, very active self again after 4 months of rehabilitation. She has been a trouper, and we are all very committed to her recovery although very saddened she is going through all this.

We will keep you informed, and are very grateful for her presence in our lives! She deserves the very best from us now, and we are wholeheartedly helping her as we can!

Sincerely,

Thanks!

Jethro’s Happy Tail

Posted April 14th, 2010 by Blog

From: Marla Worthington (Kalispell, MT)

I just got my winter copy of Pooch News and realized that in June it’ll be a year since I adopted Jethro from you and I haven’t sent any news or pictures!

He is an AWESOME dog….we had a few issues for about 6 months while the testosterone got out of his system from you neutering him at 3, and now he’s the loviest guy I know! He LOVES walks, the longer the better, has a whole basket full of toys (the squeaky ones are the best!), and I’m so glad every day that I have him! My daughter that lost HER JRT a year and a half ago is enjoying being around a Jack again, and everyone but my cats and the chickens love him!

I’m sending a few pictures from the months I’ve had him….it looks like all he does is sleep, but believe me…..he keeps me busy playing and brushing and walking! Thanks SO much for having him….he’s a perfect fit for me!

Ringo’s Happy Tail

Posted April 14th, 2010 by Blog

From: The Alder family – Fiona, Clint Ian, Niles and Frasier (the cats) and Ringo (the newest Alder!)

We just wanted to update you!  We adopted Ichabod (now named Ringo Ichabod Alder) a little over a week ago from you!  He is FANTASTIC and has settled really well in our home.  EVERYONE we have met with him, including other animals and our cats, have reacted really well; as has Ringo, he is so mellow and calm with any situation.

THANK YOU for helping us through the adoption process – we love Ringo – he is just such a happy well adjusted dog (Currently asleep in the bed by my desk with his favorite toy!)
